Although over a dozen people regularly host games for Seattle Board Games, in roughly the past six months (June 1, 2023 - November 16, 2023), only the people below have hosted specific eurostrategy games:
Almost all our hosting has been done independently. Shawn and I cohost occasional Age of Steam games, and David and I have, at times, jointly hosted events as well as managed the calendar for EuroStrategy Games.
We may want to get together every 3-6 months to share experiences and discuss issues (like no-shows, or Meetup's limitations). And we could consider cohosting more often. There are trade-offs, but cohosting allows for larger events, mitigating the no-show problem and sometimes allowing for a full teach for new players while experienced players get right into a game. Cohosting can also ease the work of introducing a complex new game.
In the lists below, numbers in parentheses show each game's BGG strategy game rank.
Lists A through D below are games I'd like to host or cohost. These include some games I've never hosted or, in most cases, even played before: Gaia Project, Root, Lisboa, Maracaibo, The Gallerist, Dune Imperium Uprising, Stephenson's Rocket, Die Siedler von Nürnberg, and Taj Mahal.
I neither own nor plan to buy or host the games in the final list (E). But others may want to, and in most cases, I'd be happy to play if someone else hosts.

Hosting Criteria
Good hosting locations are difficult to come by. The key criteria I look for include:
Welcoming to board game players and inclusive.
Convenient location.
Suitable tables that are available without paid reservations.
Good lighting.
Not noisy.
Open at needed hours (for evening events, until at least 9:00 PM).
Nearby parking.
Food and drink for sale.
Offering food and drink is important because it provides a way to support businesses without paying for table reservations.
Times
I'll continue with the schedule used this year:
Saturdays. For deeper, longer strategy games. I have a soft limit of about 3 hours, but games sometimes run to 4 hours.
Sundays. For special events or occasional series.
Wednesdays. For shorter, snappier strategy games.
Let's explore staging a local EuroStrategy Game Con. There are many examples of local game cons at The 2023-2024 Guide To Board Game Conventions — Meeple Mountain, including some in and around Seattle. However, if I'm not mistaken, there's no local convention centered on eurostrategy games. This could be a lot of fun and a unique opportunity for us. We could opt for something low-key -- a single day and a modest space -- or plan a larger weekend con that would give us a chance to attract vendors and perhaps a prominent game designer.
I created a Google group, Seattle EuroGamers, for planning discussions. Although not currently active, it's functional and could be used if we want. I would just have to add any who wanted to participate to as members. There's also a Join request on the group page.
